A pilot project in Kazakhstan — The Eginsu station (Almaty railway division)
The Eginsu station (6 points) is the first pilot project launched in Kazakhstan. It was to repair the damage done as a result of disastrous floods which had closed whole sections of Kazakhstan railways, including the Eginsu station. It was imperative that we restore the train traffic as soon as possible. Using our experience in the 1520 gauge territory, we managed to successfully complete and re-commission this vital line in only three months, all whilst maintaining the highest safety levels. The station was re-commissioned in 2010.
The project involved equipping a 143-km section consisting of 8 stations (134 points) and 2 level crossings, with the radio-based traffic control system on a newly constructed line (the RBTC system based on INTERFLO 550 technology). The line was equipped with the EBI Lock 950 CBI R4 system, the axle counter system EBI Track 1800, the integrated automatic level crossing system EBIGate 2000. The project implementation period 2010- 2011. This is the first introduction of the RBTC solution in the CIS market.
The project included equipping a 256-km section consisting of 5 stations (304 points), 10 loops and 36 level crossings, with the radio-based traffic control system (the RBTC system based on INTERFLO 550 technology). The line was equipped with the EBILock 950 R 4 CBI system, the axle counter system EBITrack 1800.
The project included equipping a 214-km section consisting of 2 stations (115 points), 5 loops (115 points) and 31 level crossings, with the radio-based traffic control system (the RBTC system based on INTERFLO 550 technology). The line was equipped with the EBILock 950 R 4 CBI system, the axle counter system based on ACE controller. The station was commissioned in 2015.
The project included equipping a 517-km section consisting of 9 stations, 18 loops (245 points) and 24 level crossings, with the radio-based traffic control system on a newly constructed line (the RBTC system based on INTERFLO 550 technology). The line was equipped with the EBILock 950 R 4 CBI system, the axle counter system based on ACE controller. The station was commissioned in 2015.
The project included equipping a 471-km section consisting of 9 stations, 13 loops (161 points) and 21 level crossings, with the radio-based traffic control system on a newly constructed line (the RBTC system based on INTERFLO 550 technology). The line was equipped with the EBILock 950 R 4 CBI system, the axle counter system based on ACE controller. The station was commissioned in 2016.
The project included equipping a 14-km section with the computer-based semi-automatic line block (PAB-E), equipping 2 stations (21 points) and 2 level crossings, with the EBILock 950 R 4 CBI system, the axle counter system based on ACE controller. The station was commissioned in 2015-2017.
The project implied equipping the station, including the Technical Park (51 points) and the 1-st level-crossing with the EBILock 950 R 4 CBI system with the use of the audio frequency track circuit. The Commissioning period is 2015-2017.
In the period 2012-2013 the onboard equipment for 7 two-section diesel locomotives 2TE10M was supplied to Kazakhstan for the line Uzen — the State borderline with Turkmenistan (14 boards).
