Alexander Matyushin introduced students from Lomonosov Moscow State University and Saint Petersburg State University to the Intelligent Level Crossing — a subsystem for monitoring the clearance zone of railway level crossings.

The Intelligent Level Crossing is designed to enhance safety at railway crossings.

The subsystem provides automatic detection of obstacles within the movement zone, visualization of the situation, remote monitoring via PC, tablet, or smartphone, as well as event logging.

The Intelligent Level Crossing addresses key challenges in reducing accident risks and integrating crossings into the digital transport infrastructure.
