BAM under digital control

The Signaling Division of The GC 1520 digitalized traffic control at five BAM crossing loops.

The specialists of the Signaling Division have implemented a domestic computer-based interlocking system CBI-EL at  2062 km, 2081 km (Dugabul – Unkur section), 2905 km (Dugda – Nora section), Zvonkoe and a Checkpoint 3048 km crossing loops.

CBI-EL allows:

• remotely regulate the operation of electric switch drives and signals;
• set train routes;
• monitor equipment parameters;
• timely identify pre-failure conditions.

Built-in cyber security eliminates unauthorized access to digital technology. Hot redundancy of components ensures high reliability.

The systems that GC 1520 implements on BAM are adapted to the harsh climate. All automation is equipped with the surge overvoltage protection system.

The works are part of the II stage of modernization of the Eastern Polygon. Digitalization ensures traffic safety, increases the efficiency of lines and reduces operating costs.
