NPS Signaling Division Attends Information Security Conference
On March 3–4, 2026, Moscow hosted the 14th annual conference on information security for Process Control Systems at critical facilities. The event was organized by the CONNECT publishing house with the participation of FSTEC Russia, the FSB, and industry regulators.
The conference focused on the current state of the Process Control System protection market, particularly in light of new legislative requirements for mandatory import substitution and information security (IS) for facilities listed in sectoral registries of standard Critical Information Infrastructure (CII) assets.
The NPS Group Signaling Division, a pioneer in implementing cybersecurity systems across the Russian railway and subway networks, shared its practical expertise. Boris Bezrodny—Head of the Information Security Department for Process Control Systems at 1520 Signal (part of NPS Group), Doctor of Sciences, and Professor—presented a report titled "Practical Application and Implementation of Functional and Information Security Requirements in Railway Process Control Systems: Contradictions and Discrepancies."
"1520 Signal employs a comprehensive scientific approach to developing a threat model for railway process control systems. This model accounts for modern requirements for assessing the relevance of information security threats, potential damages, and risks posed by internal actors," Bezrodny noted during his presentation.
The report drew significant interest from the professional community, which included representatives from the fuel and energy complex, transport, and industry, as well as developers, automation and information security integrators, relevant government authorities, and the scientific community.
