Obukhovo Railway Station in St. Petersburg Equipped with NPS signaling

Train movements at the station will now be managed by the Computer-Based Interlocking system CBI-EL-20, a versatile tool suitable for all types of rail transport. The system allows operators to control points and signals, set routes, monitor equipment status, and optimize schedules. It significantly enhances the throughput capacity of busy mainlines as well as the reliability and safety of operations.

The interlocking system integrates 33 points and 53 LED signals, supported by uninterruptible power supply units to ensure reliable electricity. To monitor rolling stock, a track circuit control system was implemented to determine track occupancy.

The CBI-EL-20 Computer-Based Interlocking system is built on the secure Platform 2.0, designed for automating various industrial sectors. It is the first digital solution of its kind developed entirely using domestic components and software. The development meets Safety Integrity Level 4 (SIL4), the highest industrial safety standard, virtually eliminating the probability of failure.
