The Tynda Station is Switching to Computer-Based Interlocking.

JSC «Bamstroymekhanizatsia» that is a part of the 1520 Group of Companies is about to finish the large-scale reconstruction of the Tynda station. Currently, the Ebilock 950 computer-based interlocking equipment is being connected.  1520 Signal (which is also a part of the 1520 Group of Companies) is the company in charge of supply, assembly and adjustments of the equipment. The Ebilock 950 system will not only make it possible to control the main station of the Baikal-Amur Mainline with a computer but also, after the commissioning of the CBI system, will position the Tynda station alongside the most advanced stations of the Russian Railways.

In 2016 the construction of a new receiving yard, reconstruction of the medium-power marshaling yard hump and sorting yard of the out-of-class station Tynda station was initiated. Since then a great amount of earth-moving, assembly and commissioning works have been done by Bamstroymekhanizatsia.

The marshaling yard hump, which was removed from operation in 1998, was rebuilt from scratch. A sub-grade was filled, new tracks were laid, new sorting yard equipment was assembled and the electric interlocking post was rebuilt, which is now used for automatic shunting control.  Moreover, additional tracks were arranged in the receiving yard and a new supporting frame with lighting system was installed. At the next stage, Bamstroymekhanizatsia fully rebuilt the sorting yard adjacent to the medium-power marshaling yard hump. The construction workers laid the railway tracks and more than 30 point machines on the reinforced concrete and replaced the signaling equipment. The station was equipped with pneumatic point air-flow and tube system. On 8, July 2019 on the 45th anniversary of the Baikal-Amur Mainline the general director of JSC RZD Oleg Belozyorov officially opened the marshaling yard hump.

At the last stage, Bamstroymekhanizatsia is connecting computer-based interlocking that is meant to control the operation of the whole station. Station operators will be controlling the biggest railway hub of the Far Eastern Railway with the help of a computer. The operation details of all station equipment will be displayed at a control board. The digital control system will not only simplify the job of railway workers but will also increase traffic safety.

The Kurian – Tynda open line that is adjacent to the Tynda station from the west will also be switched to the CBI operation.  Currently, the construction of the double-track line, which is going to increase the traffic capacity of the Baikal-Amur Mainline capital, is coming to an end.

–      A large-scale reconstruction project of the Tynda station, which is now being completed, is a merit of hundreds of construction and railway workers. Only with the help of highly-qualified professionals, we were able to accomplish a tremendous amount of construction-assembly works at an operating railway station, – emphasized Ilya Savostianov, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Bamstroymekhanizatsia in the Tynda region. – There were some obstacles but working in a tandem we managed to find solutions, and now, as a result, we see an almost new station that complies with all modern standards.

During the reconstruction of the station MK-154, “Spetsstroy-Vostok”, EP-764, Mezhregionalnoe putejskoe predpriyatie, MO-43, SSMP-868, MK-154 were engaged. The major aim of the Tynda station reconstruction was to increase the traffic and estimated capacity under the conditions of traffic volume growth on the lines leading to pacific ports. Due to the expansion of the receiving yard and construction of a new marshaling yard hump, the traffic capacity of the station has increased by almost 3 times.
