NPS Group Signaling Division Attends METRO Association Meeting in Yekaterinburg
Yekaterinburg hosted a meeting of subway rolling stock department heads and specialists, alongside manufacturing representatives, under the auspices of the International "METRO" Association.
In his speech, Roman Granat, Deputy Technical Director for Urban Rail Transport at the NPS Group Signaling Division, noted:
“Improving the quality of urban rail transport requires an integrated approach: modernizing both rolling stock and infrastructure. Automated system for tram traffic control, developed and implemented by the Signaling Division companies, creates the technological foundation for centralized dispatching and the deployment of driverless operation, automatic train operation, and priority passage systems.”
Special attention was given to Moscow's first driverless tram, currently operating on route 10. All points on this route are equipped with innovative NPS Group devices, providing the driverless tram with digital infrastructure control without human intervention.
Such solutions enhance the safety, efficiency, and flexibility of rail infrastructure management, opening new possibilities for the development of future urban transport.
