NPS Driverless Rail Transport Solutions Presented at National Industrial Forum
Alexander Dmitrenko, Head of Urban Rail Transport at 1520 Signal, highlighted the advantages of implementing an automated integrated control system for tram operations. He noted that digital technologies allow for increased speed and higher frequency of rolling stock without the need to purchase additional units.
"Comprehensive modernization of a tram network involves more than just updating rolling stock and rail infrastructure. We are delivering a technological breakthrough by forming a modern digital ecosystem for urban transport. Key elements include intelligent points and intersections that provide traffic priority and ensure strict schedule adherence. Our large-scale goal is to create a truly comfortable and convenient urban environment," said Alexander Dmitrenko.
The most prominent example of rail digitalization is Russia’s first driverless tram, currently operating on Moscow's Route 10. All points on the line are equipped with innovative solutions developed by NPS companies.
The National Industrial Forum was held in Moscow with the support of Skolkovo and Rusnano. During the event, participants discussed the challenges and prospects of implementing AI and robotics in industry, as well as the development of driverless technologies and autonomous manufacturing of the future.
