Digitalization of the Mongolian Railways is underway
1520 Signal Company specialists installed a computer -based interlocking system at two level crossings of the Trans-Mongolian Railway — Nogontolgoi and Unegt.
The global transition from relay equipment to digital has fully automated train control, raised safety and increased capacity, ensured the rational use of the rolling stock and locomotives. Crossing loops and stations have been included in a unified Centralized Train Control (CTC) system.
The first computer-based interlocking system in Mongolia was installed by our specialists in 2015. Today six stations have been equipped with the similar equipment. In addition, within the framework of the project for the modernization of the Trans-Mongolian Mainline, 1520 Signal Ltd. has introduced a system of train control via a radio channel at 1,111 kilometers of this railway.
