TECHNICAL RE-EQUIPMENT OF PERM-SORTIROVOCHNAYA STATION (PARK "G") OF SVERDLOVSK RAILWAY

The station replaced an imported train traffic control system processor with a domestically produced CPU-EL, and installed a comprehensive cybersecurity system (developed and produced by the Signaling Division of GC 1520 (part of Natsproektstroy)) to guarantee information security and protection against harmful programs.

The CPU-EL central processor plays an important role in the computer-based Interlocking system, providing:
- converting commands from the control system into orders transmitted to points, signals and other equipment;
- closing objects in the route;
- automatic and artificial disconnection of routes;
- performance of other interlocking functions.

The Perm-Sortirovochnaya station was put into service in April 1952 as an additional sorting station of the Perm-2 railway junction. Today it is one of the largest stations of the Russian railroad network with a high level of the production processes signaling.
