BAM 2024: + 3 objects to the digits

In the end of March 3 more crossing loops were equipped with the CBI-EL systems: crossing loop Thyia, crossing loop 1405 of the open line Arkum – Ulgi of the North Baikal Region of the East-Siberian Railway and crossing loop 2721 km of the open line Apetenok-Ijak of the Far Eastern Railroad.

The implemented CBI-EL system performs self-diagnostics of the equipment, blocks external cyberattacks thanks to its own built-in comprehensive cybersecurity security system, minimizes operating costs over the whole life-circle of the equipment. Russian equipment is adapted to the harsh climate of the region and can operate reliably at extremely low temperatures. Protection against surge overvoltages is also included in our CBI-EL systems.

The works are part of the large-scale project of the Russian Railways to develop the infrastructure of the Eastern polygon (BAM and Transsib) to increase the efficiency and improve traffic safety of our country's key transportation corridor.
