At the Edge of the earth: modernization of the Russian North railway infrastructure

These days, another station of the railway line Apatity I-Murmansk - Taybola (10 points) of the Oktyabrskaya railway has been equipped with the computer-based interlocking system CBI-EL - manufactured by the Signaling Division of 1520 GC.

Now the dispatching staff remotely monitors the operating parameters of the wayside equipment, thereby significantly increasing the efficiency of the line and traffic safety.

The Taibola Station is 60 km away from the capital of the Arctic - the hero city of Murmansk, surrounded by colorful northern hills and forest tundra. Its name, translated from Karelian, means "an isthmus between two bodies of water". This is not surprising - not far from the station, the watershed of the White and Barents Seas begins. In the conditions of such a majestic and beautiful, but harsh nature of the North, the work of our team is underway to modernize the railway line.

Employees of the Signaling Division step by step make a significant contribution to the implementation of the global task of the Russian Government for the social and economic development of the Arctic zone and ensuring the national security of the region.

We would like to thank all the employees of the Signaling Division of 1520 GC involved in the work at the facility.
