Solutions for HS Lines

HS Lines

High-speed overground transport is a very promising line of the mainline transport development that can stand competition against the air transportation.

1520 Signal is ready to offer several technical solutions that allow implementing innovative radio-based high-speed train control systems using fixed, virtual and moving block sections with data transfer from the track to the train via the track circuits and radio channel. The integrated train control system for high-speed lines includes:

  • Computer-based interlocking systems;

  • Computer-based automatic line block system with audio frequency track circuits and centralized equipment layout in the mounting racks, which ensures data transfer to the train via short track circuits and traffic control at a speed up to 250 km/h;

  • Radio block center of the train control system. The radio channel is used for data exchange with trains in order to control traffic at speed exceeding 250 km/h. Besides, fixed block sections are used for the differentiation of  high-speed trains, and the automatic line block system ensures the standby level;

  • Automatic Locomotive Signaling System (ATP) is an independent signaling and communication system with fixed and discreetly modifiable borders of block sections.

ATP provides:

  • Reduction of hardware redundancy and costs thanks to the integration of the train control system into the CBI system;

  • Increase in train traffic reliability thanks to circular CBI integration at stations;

  • Eduction of the life cycle thanks to a reduction of station and wayside equipment and application of technical diagnostic tools;

  • Reduction of operational costs required to maintain cable and wayside equipment;

  • Reduction of traffic time loss due to implementation of the function that records the false occupied state of protective track circuits.
