Station Operational and Technological Communication Equipment with Digital Switching is a flexible hardware-software system for the provision of operational-technological communication (hereafter OTC) on railways, metro lines and other infrastructure of transport and industrial facilities.

Based on Station Communication Equipment with Digital Switching creation of the following systems and communication types are possible:

  • Operational-technological communication with a function of dispatcher selective and inter-dispatcher communication (the modes of executive, regulating and executive-regulating stations are supported);
  • Dispatcher communication;

  • Line-path communication;

  • Station-by-station communication;

  • Interstation communication;

  • Open-line communication;

  • Switch point telephone communication;

  • Conference call communication;

  • Station telephone communication.

Functional characteristics


Station Communication Equipment with Digital Switching provides:

  • Organization of dispatcher selective communication via analog lines and channels in digital E1 streams;

  • Double-way communication between subscribers of telephone and dispatcher selective communication;

  • Organization of telephone communication with access to Automatic Telephone Station (ATS) via analog lines and digital E1 streams;

  • Interaction with OTC equipment and subscriber devices of third-party manufacturers when operating via analog lines and communication channels;

  • Increase of subscriber capacity by connecting an additional switching unit or/and connecting several racks with digital E1 streams;

  • Organization of failure-free power supply by connecting an accumulator battery unit (installed in a rack) and external power supply system;

  • Automatic redundancy of control, switching and synchronization units;

  • Automatic redundancy of a digital E1 stream unit;

  • Automatic redundancy of digital E1 stream traffic in line and ring communication network;

  • Redundancy of digital line/ Uk0 port that is connected to a panel board;

  • “Dry contact” interaction with external execution units by using the inputs and outputs;

  • Transmission of voice messages that were previously recorded on digital double-way communication equipment or panel boards (following the order from dispatcher panel board or via internal signal);

  • Replacement of standard replaceable units, panel boards and digital double-way communication equipment without power shutdown or reprogramming;

  • Configuration and control of the equipment status from a PC that is connected via USB or Ethernet interface.


Station Communication Equipment with Digital Switching as a control station of operational-technical communication (OTC) additionally provides:

  • Organization of dispatcher (group) communication channels in digital E1 streams with integrity control of the digital network;

  • Digital integration of several lines/channels for the organization of dispatcher areas;

  • Organization of inter-dispatcher communication with the integration of dispatcher areas and double-way communication between dispatchers and subscribers of integrated areas;

  • Organization of all necessary functions and types of communication on a dispatcher’s panel board;

  • Connection of a panel board or telephone set to a dispatcher area by dialing the number or by pressing the call button.


Station Communication Equipment with Digital Switching as an executive station of operational-technical communication (OTC) additionally provides:

  • interaction with lines and digital channels of dispatcher selective communication;

  • organization of local, point and escalator communication;

  • organization of communication with digital double-way communication equipment (switch point communication, door entry equipment, etc.);

  • automatic connection of the telephone line to a line or digital channel of dispatcher communication for the organization of tunnel communication (as the receiver on a subscriber’s device is picked up);

  • automatic switch of subscribers of dispatcher communication from operation via a digital channel to operation with dispatcher communication line if there is a malfunction in the digital network (automatic recovery of digital dispatcher communication);

  • Organization of inter-station communication via analog lines and channels in digital E1 stream between a Station Dispatcher and adjacent metro stations;

  • Organization of tunnel communication via 2-wire/4-wire connection lines with line status control (lost connection, short circuit, busy line).
