A pilot project in Kazakhstan — The Eginsu station (Almaty railway division)

The Eginsu station (6 points) is the first pilot project launched in Kazakhstan. It was to repair the damage done as a result of disastrous floods which had closed whole sections of Kazakhstan railways, including the Eginsu station. It was imperative that we restore the train traffic as soon as possible.

Using our experience in the 1520 gauge territory, we managed to successfully complete and re-commission this vital line in only three months, all whilst maintaining the highest safety levels. The station was re-commissioned in 2010.

Introduction of the EBILock 950 CBI system at the Riga-Passenger station

The Riga-Passenger station (145 points) was equipped with the EBILock 950 CBI system. The project became one of the first realized in the Baltic States. It was started in 2000 and successfully finished in 2001 forming a good basis for our further cooperation with Latvian railways.

Modernization of the Stasilos station

The Stasilos station (5 points) was commissioned in 2011 equipped with the EBILock 950 CBI system.

A pilot project: modernization of loop № 36 (857-km).

In 2013 our pilot project was launched in Mongolia. The first EBILock 950 CBI system integrated into semi-automatic line block of the adjacent open lines as well as the axle counter system EBITrack 1800 were installed in Gobi desert at loop № 36 (3 points). In 2014-2015 three more loops (№ 31, 39, 41), counting 15 points, were equipped with the EBILock 950 CBI systems.

RUSSIA

Our presence in Russia has been growing significantly for over twenty years. The demand for our EBILock 950 computer based interlocking (CBI) solution continues to be the main focus for design and innovation in Russia.

Today our EBILock 950 CBI systems are successfully operating at more than 300 stations located on 16 railways, in 30 regions through all the territory in the Russian Federation, controlling more than 9 000 points and 850 km of line block systems.

Our presence across Russia stretches from Kaliningrad to the Far East. The EBILock 950 CBI systems are used at high speed lines Moscow — St. Petersburg and Moscow — Nizhniy Novgorod, at Trans-Siberian main line — a strategic transport corridor.

Large railway junctions such as Verkhniy Baskunchak, Bekasovo, Sverdlovsk Sortirovochniy and Shartash are also operated by EBILock 950 CBI. All commissioned systems are fully adapted to meet the requirements, rules and local instructions of the Russian railways.

Under Russia’s north regional development program we have been contracted to deliver our EBILock 950 CBI solution to the first several stations of this project in Yakutia. High reliability and environmental resilience, ability of our equipment to operate without the need for regular servicing or repair became the main reason for the Yakutian railways decision to select our EBILock 950 CBI for this section.

Construction of the new railway line Tashguizar — Kumkurgan

It is the first project of the signaling solution introduction within a CIS country. A contract for the construction of the new line Tashguizar — Kumkurgan in Uzbekistan was signed in August 2007 as a result of our victory in the international tender. Under the project 17 stations (178 points), 41 level-crossings were equipped with the EBILock 950 CBI system. The project also included delivery of a specially developed semi-automatic line block system fully integrated into our EBILock 950 CBI solution along 223 km of railway line, installation of the axle counter system, automatic level crossing signaling system and CTC system. For the first time, there were installed LED signals.

In addition to the EBILock 950 system and automatic line blocks, we equipped two large traffic control centres at Yelgava and Daugavpils transport junctions. During this project we gained experience implementing the new generation of the EBILock 950 CBI R4 system. This new Central processor unit is capable of supervising the largest stations and whole sections of the railways.

Modernization of the Trans-Mongolian Railway (The Khoit — Dzamyn‑Uud line)
