The 1520 Group of Companies introduced digital train traffic control at the Chupa station of the Oktyabrskaya Railway in Karelia.

Specialists of the Signaling Division of 1520 Group of Companies have implemented the Russian digital signaling equipment at the Chupa railway station of the Oktyabrskaya Railway.

The works are part of the development program of the Murmansk — Petrozavodsk line to increase cargo traffic to the ports of the northern part of the Kola Peninsula.

Now the train traffic at the station is controlled by the first domestic CBI-EL system that was developed and manufactured by the Signaling Division of the GC 1520. With its help, the staff of the facility will adjust the points and signals, make train routes and monitor the condition of the equipment. Digital signaling technology is adapted to the harsh climatic conditions of the region. The built-in cybersecurity system prevents unauthorized access to the railway infrastructure.

Digitalization increases reliability, safety andcapacity of the railway lines, as well as simplifies technical support and maintenance of the system.

The project of updating the Chupa station was developed by JSC "Lengiprotrans" (part of GC 1520). In addition to the introduction of computer-based control systems, it includes the extension and electrification of the receiving tracks, the construction of an electrical centralization post and heating points for track fitters.
